As well as mixing up our learning groups to involve competitor and client businesses, we have taken cues from a diverse range of professional, institutional, business and academic experts.
Many businesses ring-fence these learning opportunities, but we believe this willingness to reach outside the confines of our own business has afforded us the opportunity to broaden our knowledge and methods of working - sharing our experiences with others who, in turn, can bring new and different perspectives to challenge our traditional and established norms.
Our regional Team 15 programme is a recent example; we brought together aspiring surveyors from a broad range of businesses to soak up expertise and advice from the legal, executive coaching and academic professions, to create a shared programme of coaching and development.
As we move forward, we plan to actively engage with those pressing for transformation in our sectors, in particular with the Constructing Excellence hub in their mission to "positively disrupt industry delivery performance".
We believe that through staying curious and open to change and challenge, we can learn more rapidly and organically as a team.
