The winners of the High Performing Team of the Year award in 2022 is the Approved Power Services (APS) team.

What the nominators said…
It wasn’t just what colleagues said about the high-performing team embedded within fellow SME Approved Power Services (APS) team. “They’ve been integral to our success, building the commercial foundations of APS with representatives who make up a diverse and multiskilled team who are commercially and contractually astute, diligent, flexible, pragmatic, hard-working and resolute. They are a credit to both Solomons and APS,” says APS Commercial Director Anthony Dawson. And that, really, says it all!

What the judges said…
It’s quite something to take a step back and be able to say that your team have been part of creating a business transformation, but in the case of the APS gang, this is absolutely the case. Mentored by Anthony Dawson, this team have worked tirelessly and consistently to achieve profitable outcomes for this small specialist subcontractor and to improve and develop effective commercial processes along the way. This business has achieved significant growth and won new, high value contracts in part due to the commercial and contractual rigour instilled by the team since inception – who have gained the trust and respect of the Board in their time working in the business. Quite something to know you have been part of. Great work Chris Challis, Adrian-Ming-Wai Lee, Emma Worthington and Michael Gilsenan.
